Steve Schapiro is an American photojournalist born in Brooklyn in 1934.
It was with the famous American photojournalist William Eugène Smith that he developed his view of the world and photography. The 1960s and 1970s in the United States and their political, cultural and social upheavals gave Schapiro the opportunity to immortalize the key moments of American society.
Hired by Paramount in the 70s, he will also sign the set photos of cult films such as The Godfather, Taxi Driver or Midnight Cowboy.
As one of the great names in photojournalism, his photos are exhibited today in museums around the world.
