David Yarrow was born in 1966 in Glasgow and lives in London. He began his photographic career by covering the biggest sporting events on the planet. His photo of Maradona holding the trophy during the FIFA World Cup in Mexico has been internationally publicized.
A graduate of the University of Edinburgh, David Yarrow then pursued a brilliant career in finance in London and New York, then founded his own investment fund in 1995. During this period his passion for photography remained constant. It is through his various travels that he perceives the real environmental and geopolitical issues of the planet and decides to photograph the natural world.
David Yarrow is recognised today as one of the bestselling photographers in the world and his popularity is growing among art collectors. His limited edition works regularly sell at high prices at Sotheby’s and other auction houses.
Since 2019, David’s work has raised over $10m for philanthropic and conservation organisations including charitable collaborations with Cindy Crawford, Cara Delevingne, Gary Player and Chris Hemsworth. His position in the industry has been rewarded with a wide range of advisory and ambassadorial roles.
