Jeff Divine was born in 1950 in San Diego and grew up in La Jolla, California. Passionate about surfing, he began to take his first surf photos in the 1960s and sell them to his high school friends.
In 1971, the American magazine Surfer Magazine hired him and sent him around the world to cover the best surf spots. He will remain a photographer for 35 years for Surfer Magazine and Surfer’s Journal.
Jeff Divine now has one of the largest collections of surf photography from the 1970s to 2009.
He has published numerous books including Surfing Photographs From The Seventies and Surfing Photographs Taken in The Eighties with Tom Adler Editions. His photos were exhibited at the Oceanside Museum of Art in San Diego in 2007 and in many galleries around the world.
