Renowned fash­ion pho­tog­ra­pher Denis Piel cel­e­brated his 80^th birth­day on March 1^st. A.Galerie takes this oppor­tu­nity to pay trib­ute to his mag­nif­i­cent work. 

Under con­tract with Conde Nast since 1979, his fash­ion pho­tos were fea­tured in Vogue, Vanity Fair, GQ and many oth­ers, as well as the suc­cess of numer­ous adver­tis­ing campaigns.

Denis Piel knew how to cre­ate a par­tic­u­lar style in his pho­tos, pos­ing his mod­els like a film­maker directs his actors, giv­ing them roles. His nudes of women, always extremely sen­sual, are no excep­tion to the rule. When you look at his pho­tos, you can feel them liv­ing, breath­ing and pul­sat­ing. They are there, they are present, and they make you dream. The “It’s Only Love” exhi­bi­tion retraces part of this immense career.
