Hélène Jousse has been a sculp­tor for nearly twenty-​five years. She trained with the plas­tic artist Alain Vuarchex and the sculp­tor Brigitte Terzieff.

The human body, from which she tried to extract the irre­ducible point of grav­ity, fed her quest for bal­ance and imbal­ance for years. She escaped from it to explore the mys­tery of the face, which she reduced to its sim­plest expres­sion to dis­cover that it con­tin­ues, untir­ingly, to deliver its share of human­ity to us.

She has been col­lab­o­rat­ing for more than twenty years with numer­ous gal­leries and cul­tural spaces, in France but also in Belgium (Brussels), Switzerland (Vevey) and Singapore.
