Kyriakos Kaziras

Professional Franco-​Greek pho­tog­ra­pher, liv­ing in France, Kyriakos Kaziras is a spe­cial­ist in nature pho­tog­ra­phy (ani­mal, ethno­graphic and landscape).

Born in Greece, Kyriakos Kaziras was, very early on, pas­sion­ate about pho­tog­ra­phy and paint­ing, thanks to the influ­ence of his two grand­fa­thers, one painter and the other pas­sion­ate about pho­tog­ra­phy. At 16, he went to live with his par­ents in Geneva where he learned the French lan­guage. He then went to uni­ver­sity in France where he stud­ied French lit­er­a­ture at the Sorbonne.

During his first trip to Southern Africa, he fell in love with the wilder­ness, the lights and the ani­mals. Since then, he has never stopped trav­el­ing in Africa and in the most remote cor­ners of the planet. His trav­els are the occa­sion of mul­ti­ple encoun­ters with indige­nous peo­ples and wild animals.

He draws his inspi­ra­tion from lights, the search for emo­tion and encoun­ters. Very influ­enced by paint­ing, Kyriakos Kaziras has a very pic­to­r­ial approach to pho­tog­ra­phy. Cameras are his brushes.

Privileged wit­nesses to the beauty of the world, his pho­tographs share with us his fas­ci­na­tion with wildlife, mov­ing and poetic. They reflect the mag­nif­i­cence of the land­scapes and the splen­dor of the ani­mal fauna.

Kyriakos Kaziras is the pho­tog­ra­pher of the moment, con­stantly look­ing for the time when emo­tion will be felt. His pic­tures share with us a par­tic­u­lar orig­i­nal vision of the beau­ties of the world and of nature.
