Victor Demarchelier

Career

Victor Demarchelier was born and raised in New York. He is the younger son of renowned pho­tog­ra­pher Patrick Demarchelier.
After study­ing art and eco­nom­ics at Vassar College in New York, Victor began work­ing with his father in his stu­dio in 2006 imme­di­ately after grad­u­at­ing, learn­ing the sub­tleties of pho­to­graphic art.

Over the fol­low­ing ten years, Victor Demarchelier suc­cess­fully fol­lowed in his father’s foot­steps while emerg­ing as part of a new gen­er­a­tion of pho­tog­ra­phers. His pas­sion for artis­tic pho­tog­ra­phy led him toward fash­ion pho­tog­ra­phy and por­trai­ture, and his refined, ele­gant aes­thetic has become rec­og­nized for the qual­ity of its light­ing and the sophis­ti­ca­tion it conveys.
